How Do the 2004 Presidential Candidates Compare on Policies that Affect Women-Owned Businesses and the economic status of women?

Over the next weeks, we take a look at what the candidates have said and done. In addition to the below information, you may want to see what our advocacy center has on the election.

First - here is what the web sites and materials for the two candidates say about small business:

Senator John Kerry (D)

kerry-74Senator Kerry’s campaign web site has extensive information on his small business platform in his issues section.  As the former Chairman and current Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, you can also view his Senate Small Business Committee web site.  He has also provided a two page pdf on his small business platform.

President George W. Bush (R)

bush74The President Bush campaign web site does not specifically breakout small business issues.  However it does have a section on his, “The President’s Economic Security Agenda.” President Bush also has a page at his government website on small business called “Taking Action to Strengthen Small Business.”
