Margot Dorfman is the CEO of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce. She is a visionary leader who has dedicated herself to promoting the economic and leadership interest of women. Her extensive background in business, business ownership, publishing and nonprofit leadership has prepared Ms. Dorfman to set the vision for the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce. Dorfman founded Arizona Women's News, Hispana News and the Greater Phoenix Chamber Business Connection. She holds a Master's Education from Lesley University and a B.S. in Education from Northeastern University. Additionally, her experience includes over ten years in executive positions with General Mills and other Fortune 500 firms.

National Advisory Board


Robert Blaney, Small Business Administration District Director for the State of Arizona has been an administrative assistant to congressman Jack Kemp, managing Kemp's district offices and political operations until January 1989. Blaney joined the SBA as a regional public affairs officer, and then was appointed acting deputy associate administrator for the SBA office of public communications in Washington. Blaney was then reassigned to the newly created Buffalo District Office in the capacity of Business Development Specialist and was later promoted to Assistant District Director. Selected to participate in the District Director Candidate Development Program, he was the first in his class to graduate, while carrying out the duties of District Director in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lubbock, Texas, Albuquerque, New Mexico and as deputy district director in Newark, New Jersey, Los Angeles, California and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Over the years many national clients have turned to Mr. Farmer for guidance in their creative and marketing needs.

Jill Van Dierendonck is the principal owner of JMV Communications, a marketing communications consultancy in Phoenix, Arizona. She has provided clients top-notch, multi-dimension marketing communications and public relations solutions for more than 15 years. Jill is a well-respected writer/producer of award-winning advertising copy, magazine articles and executive speeches. She is currently working on her first book – a collection of biographies celebrating women's lives

  • 87% of all women-owned businesses generate less than $100,000 in revenue annually
     
  • Only 1.8% of women-owned businesses generated $1M or more in annual revenues (compared to 5.04% of all firms)
     
  • Between FY1998 and FY2003, there was a 7.5% decrease in the average value of loans made to women-owned businesses
