What's different about USWCC Partners and Association Members?

Lots!  We believe it is very important to select partners on the basis of what they do to support women. The traditional model for women's groups has been to focus on securing major corporate sponsorships or partners to bolster their administrative pocketbook.

(Actually - many "women's organizations" aren't even nonprofit organizations. Many of them are run for profit - while marketing to you. Interested in knowing which groups are for profit organizations? Or, which groups are actually run by corporate boards?  Or, which groups are "political appointees?" Go here - we have a growing list of examples.)

While the USWCC welcomes and supports our national corporate members, we do not seek sponsorships to maintain the operations of our nonprofit trade association.  We believe that we must grow based on individual and small business memberships.

You are our prime customers - and we must be faithful to you.  This allows us to seek corporate and association partnerships purely for the good our our members - not our association pocket book.

How could we possible say or do what we need to do to advocate for you if we have financial ties to those who only want to market to you? We hope you agree, that this autonomy from outside influence, is good for you and good for the work of the USWCC.
