What is happening locally?

Lots!  Much of work is done by councils on a regional basis - Economic Development Council, Career & Leadership Council and Political Impact Council. All of our councils work together national and locally to create change at all levels.  (Go here for the “Council Tour.”)

If you would like to join a council, let us know by completing this form!

As a member of a council, you help us locally and nationally to fulfill the work of the chamber. Our focus is on economic and leadership development.  We have monthly web-based conferences and work with steering committees to advance our mission. In some states, we have regional presidents.

We also work with our Association Members as we work together to make real change for women. If you belong to a nonprofit or trade association that would like to be an Association Member of the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce, please here for more information or gohere to contact us.

Economic Development Council Working Towards Economic and Leadership Gains

The USWCC Economic Development Council provides a powerful forum for participants to take part in the economic advancement for women. It is through council members commitment and willingness to take action that the USWCC EDC is raising the level of influence and accelerating business growth for women business owners across the state and across the nation.

To bring about this change, the USWCC EDC is:

  • Gathering information to create a benchmark on the economic status of women in each region.

  • Building influence locally and nationally.

  • Assuring that all women business owners have the access to markets, capital and technical expertise necessary to grow and compete.

  • Advocating on issues in unison specific to the mission and goals of the
    USWCC.

We invite you to get actively involved in the economic advancement of women-owned businesses and your region. To learn about what is happening in your community, please click on a state to the right.
